  • Spectrum has added Netflix as a purchasable service within the Spectrum App Store.
  • Customers can now subscribe to Netflix directly through Spectrum’s streaming marketplace.
  • Eligible Spectrum TV customers already receive more than $125 per month in bundled streaming value, the company noted in a press release.

Charter’s Spectrum has expanded its streaming marketplace by adding Netflix to the Spectrum App Store, allowing customers to purchase and manage the streaming service directly through Spectrum’s platform, the company announced on Thursday.

The move gives Spectrum customers, including those without a traditional television package, a new way to subscribe to Netflix’s ad-supported and ad-free plans while managing streaming services through a single interface.

The addition is the latest expansion of the Spectrum App Store, which serves as a centralized hub where customers can discover, activate, purchase and manage streaming subscriptions.

“Netflix has become a major part of how people watch entertainment today, from hit Originals and exclusive live sports, to documentaries, family programming and cultural moments everyone is talking about,” Elena Ritchie, the Senior Vice President of Video at Spectrum, said in a statement. “By bringing Netflix to The Spectrum App Store, we’re delivering on our promise of seamless entertainment and providing more choice, value and a simpler way to manage streaming and TV services.”

The Spectrum App Store allows customers to purchase streaming services, activate subscriptions included with eligible television packages, upgrade from ad-supported plans to ad-free tiers and manage multiple services through a single account.

The addition of Netflix comes as Spectrum continues to position itself as an aggregator of streaming services alongside its pay television offerings. The company says eligible Spectrum TV customers receive more than $125 per month in retail streaming value through included subscriptions.

Those services include the Disney Plus-Hulu bundle, ESPN Unlimited, HBO Max Basic with Ads, Paramount Plus Essential, Peacock Premium with Ads, AMC Plus with Ads, ViX Premium with Ads, Tennis Channel, Fox One and Discovery Plus.
