Comcast’s NBC Universal says two of its popular streaming features from the 2024 Summer Olympic Games will soon be available for the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games.
On Thursday, executives at NBC Sports confirmed the whip-around style channel Gold Zone and dedicated multi-view pop-up feeds will be available through Peacock for the 2024 Paralympic Games, which run from August 28 through September 8.
“Coming off its resounding success during the Paris Olympics, Gold Zone will make its Paralympics debut and provide a whirlwind trip around the Games each day as Team USA’s athletes compete against the world’s best,” said Molly Solomon, the Executive Producer and President of Programming at NBC Olympics and Paralympics.
CNN reporter and host Carolyn Manno will serve as the host of Peacock’s Gold Zone for about five hours each day, starting at 11 a.m. Eastern Time (8 a.m. Pacific Time). This coincides with what the network calls “Paris prime-time,” when events are happening in France, where the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games are taking place.

The multi-view feature will be available for the top live Paralympic events, which will allow fans of the games to stay on top of multiple competitions at once.
“Gold Zone and multi-view broke through as two fan-favorite features during the Olympics, and we know they’ll continue to be valuable in driving discovery and engagement during the Paralympics,” said Kelly Campbell, the President of Peacock and NBC’s Direct-to-Consumer business. “They epitomize Peacock’s unique, industry-leading live-streaming experience, seamlessly showcasing both the magic of the Games and the power of the platform.”
Executives said Peacock is poised to offer more than 1,500 hours of Paralympic Games coverage across all 22 competitions. The service starts at $8 per month, and is widely available on connected TV devices, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Android TV (Google TV), along with smartphones, tablets and game consoles.
Around 140 hours of coverage will also be available on NBC’s broadcast network and cable channels USA Network and CNBC. Live simulcasts of games airing on NBC, USA Network and CNBC will be available through the NBC Sports app and NBC Olympics website for subscribers of cable and satellite platforms.
