Streaming services lead Emmy Award nominations with more than 200

Less than four months after it launched, mobile-first streaming service Quibi has earned 10 Emmy nominations, according to a press release from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

The 2020 Emmy Award nominations were announced during a virtual press conference on Tuesday.

Netflix rounded out the list of platforms with the most-Emmy Award nominations, clinching 160 nominations including 13 for its hit series “The Crown.” Rival service Amazon Prime Video earned 30 Emmy Award nominations followed by Disney-owned Hulu with 26 nominations.



Quibi aside, there were a few other surprise nominations announced on Tuesday, including virtual reality platform Oculus with three Emmy Award nominations, YouTube with two nominations and Apple Music with one nomination.
