After a successful launch in Europe last year and several high-interest runs in Denver, Forge is bringing its popular industry conference StreamTV Show to another locale: Asia.
On Wednesday, the firm specializing in business-to-business (B2B) events and intelligence announced the dates for StreamTV Show Asia, which will take place from November 16 to November 18 in Bangkok.
Forge is looking to tap into growing interest in the region, particularly among foreign streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max and Disney Plus, which have established businesses and brought their direct-to-consumer products there over the past few years.

“Asia-Pacific represents an extraordinary opportunity for the global streaming industry, with rapidly expanding audiences, innovative content and evolving business models driving growth across the region,” Kevin Gray, the founder of the StreamTV Show and Vice President and Market Leader at Forge, said in a statement. “With our team based in Singapore leading the development of StreamTV Asia, we’re combining deep regional expertise with the global reach and connections of the StreamTV brand. Our goal is to create an event that truly reflects the needs of this market, bringing together the people, ideas and partnerships that will shape the future of streaming across Asia.”
Forge did not release a tentative agenda for the conference, and it was not clear who was sponsoring the event. Earlier in the year, The Desk reported the inaugural event would take place in Hong Kong, based on comments and initial plans announced by executives. It isn’t clear why event organizers decided on Bangkok instead.
Questex operated the StreamTV Show until earlier this year, when the company and another called Emerald were acquired by Apollo Global Management and relaunched into Forge.
The StreamTV Show first launched as the Pay TV Show, an annual conference that attracted cable, satellite and some streaming executives who felt other conferences, like NAB Show, didn’t cater to their interests or business needs. The event relaunched as StreamTV Show in 2019, and a publication that serves as an extension of the event took on the same branding a few years later.
StreamTV Show’s flagship conference in Denver continues to attract international attendees each year, courting executives from the streaming, broadcasting, measurement and advertising industries and others.

In June, more than 2,200 executives and members of the media registered to participate in the StreamTV Show in Denver, with the show’s first event in Europe attracting more than 1,000 registered attendees, organizers said. The Desk served as a media partner for the Denver show.
Now, organizers are hoping to replicate that interest and success with a show dedicated to Asia-Pacific.
“StreamTV has always been about bringing the right people together to move the industry forward,” Gray said. “As streaming becomes increasingly global, so do the opportunities for collaboration. StreamTV Asia will create a meeting place where regional expertise and international perspectives come together to drive the next wave of industry growth.”
Registration for StreamTV Asia is not yet open, and it isn’t clear how much tickets will cost.
