The first complete day of the StreamTV Show ended on Wednesday with a ceremony honoring breakthrough innovations and top leaders who broke new ground and further shaped the streaming industry over the past year.
The cornerstone of the awards ceremony was a new Trailblazer Award accepted by DIRECTV’s Chief Marketing Officer Vince Torres for his work promoting new genre-based bundles that connect budget-conscious streamers with lower-priced packages centered around core themes like entertainment, children’s programming, sports and news.
Executives and companies like Xumo, Pluto TV, Spectrum Reach, AMC Global Media, Bango and Comcast were also honored with awards during the hour-long ceremony, which was book-ended by performances from violinist Mia Asano and hip-hop artist Flo Rida.
