Fox News Channel will roll out a revamped weekend schedule later this month, with several new programs and host changes aimed at expanding its news and opinion coverage.
The new lineup begins Saturday, September 20, when Kayleigh McEnany, the co-host of “Outnumbered,” launches her own two-hour show called “Saturday in America.” The program will air from 10 a.m. to noon Eastern Time and feature interviews and analysis on major headlines. McEnany will continue her weekday role on “Outnumbered,” which averages nearly 2 million viewers.
National correspondent Griff Jenkins will also join “Fox & Friends Weekend” as the third permanent co-host alongside Rachel Campos-Duffy and Charlie Hurt. Jenkins, who has been with Fox News since 2003, has covered the southern border, multiple election cycles and wars in the Middle East. “Fox & Friends Weekend” averages 1.2 million viewers, consistently topping competitors.
On Sunday, September 21, the network will debut “The Sunday Briefing,” anchored by senior White House correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich, who will rotate weekly as hosts. The show will broadcast live from Washington, focusing on White House policy decisions and their domestic and international impact. Doocy, with Fox News since 2009, became a senior White House correspondent last year. Heinrich, who joined in 2018, was elected to serve as president of the White House Correspondents Association for the 2027-2028 term.
As part of the changes, veteran journalist Howie Kurtz will step down as host of “MediaBuzz” after more than a decade. The program will air its final episode on September 14. Kurtz will remain with the network as a political media analyst, continuing to appear across Fox News platforms, host the “Media BuzzMeter” podcast and contribute to Fox News Digital. “I’m extraordinarily proud of the program, which was number one for over 12 years and built a loyal audience,” Kurtz said.
Meanwhile, “The Big Weekend Show” will expand to three hours, airing from 5 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time on both Saturdays and Sundays. Fox News contributors Johnny Joey Jones and Tomi Lahren will join as permanent co-hosts, alongside two rotating panelists. Jones, a combat veteran and bestselling author, and Lahren, host of Outkick’s “Tomi Lahren is Fearless,” will cover politics, culture and trending issues.
Fox News Media President and Executive Editor Jay Wallace said the moves reflect the company’s commitment to growing its weekend slate.
“As we expand and innovate our weekend programming, we are proud to bring our audience unrivaled depth and expertise,” Wallace said.
