Streaming television service Fubo TV says it has reached a distribution agreement with Root Sports that will see the regional sports network added to its lineup in several northwestern states.

The addition of Root Sports Northwest will allow Fubo TV subscribers to access games played by the Seattle Mariners baseball team, Seattle Kraken hockey team and the Portland Trail Blazers basketball team, the companies said in a joint press release.

“Fubo TV is focused on bringing consumers their favorite hometown teams, alongside national and international sports coverage, and today’s partnership with Root Sports strengthens our offering in the Northwest,” Ben Grad, a senior executive in charge of content acquisition and strategy at Fubo TV, said in a statement.

Earlier this year, sports news website The Athletic said Root Sports Northwest was holding discussions with several streaming television services, including Fubo TV, as it sought alternate ways to reach fans and viewers beyond traditional cable and satellite distribution.

Root Sports Northwest is majority-owned by the Baseball Club of Seattle, the parent company of the Seattle Mariners, with AT&T’s WarnerMedia owning a minority stake in the network.

In addition to Mariners, Kraken and Trail Blazers broadcasts, Root Sports carries post-game press conferences from the Seattle Seahawks football team as well as live events and coverage of college and high school sports.

Fubo TV’s base package of sports networks and general entertainment channels starts at $65 a month. The service is widely supported on smartphones, tablets, computers and streaming television devices.
