Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) has signed on to distribute more than a dozen college football games from the Mountain West Conference (MW), starting in August.

The college football games will be produced and distributed under the TNT Sports banner, though they’ll actually air on TNT’s sister cable network Tru TV. The games will also stream on Max, WBD said in a news release on Monday.

The first MW game aired on Tru TV and streamed on Max will be a match-up between Sacramento State and San Jose State on Thursday, August 29 at 10 p.m. Eastern Time (7 p.m. Pacific Time).

Thirteen other MW games will air on Tru TV and stream on Max this season, including four Saturday MW double-header games between early September and mid-October.

“TNT Sports provides the Mountain West with a third national television partner to showcase the outstanding student-athletes across the league,” said Gloria Nevarez, the Commissioner of the Mountain West Conference. “TNT Sports has always been a leader in sports broadcasting, and adding one of the top conferences in the FBS to its lineup will certainly be a benefit to MW and college football fans across the country.”

“We are excited to partner with the Mountain West and bring these compelling college football games to Tru TV and Max,” said Raphael Poplock, the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development and Partnerships at TNT Sports.  “With this agreement, we will further expand our live sports programming on Tru TV while creating additional exposure for the Mountain West and its student athletes across our TNT Sports platforms.”

On Max, the games will stream through the B/R Live add-on, which is currently available for free across the commercial-free versions of Max. A price increase announced last month brought the commercial-free tier of Max to $17 per month, with an ultra-premium tier priced at $21 per month.

In the future, WBD is expected to charge a separate fee for access to B/R Live, which will cost an additional $10 per month.
