Verizon’s prepaid phone subsidiary Visible is making an aggressive offer to T-Mobile customers who are willing to switch.
Starting this week, T-Mobile postpaid customers who bring their own device and port their phone number to Visible can score $10 off the base unlimited plan for five years, bringing the cost down to $15 per month.
To access the deal, T-Mobile customers can switch by clicking or tapping this link, then need to use the code BYEBYETMO at check-out.
Marketing material reviewed by The Desk claims the discount is “for a limited time,” but the material doesn’t say how long Visible will offer the deal to T-Mobile subscribers.
Visible’s base plan includes unlimited talk, text and data on Verizon’s 4G LTE and 5G wireless network. It also includes perks like unlimited phone calls and texting to Mexico and Canada, unlimited hotspot data (speeds capped at 5 Megabits per second, Mbps), and a robocall and spam call blocker. Video streams in standard definition, and access to Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband (UW) network is not included.
Like most prepaid brands, Visible customers might see slightly slower speeds during times of high congestion on Verizon’s network. But customers who typically rely on Wi-Fi connections when at home, work or school won’t notice much of a difference, and Verizon’s network management tends to be relatively good when compared to its rivals.
Visible says its typical download speeds range from 9 to 150 Mbps, which is enough to surf the web, upload photos to social media, stream high-quality music and watch video in standard definition. On all Visible plans, taxes and fees are included in the monthly price, so the price that Visible advertises is what customers will actually pay.
Postpaid T-Mobile customers who are interested in Visible’s offer should follow these steps to switch:

- Click or tap on “choose a plan.”
- Select the Visible $25 per month plan.
- Choose the option to port a phone number into Visible
- At check-out, enter the code BYEBYETMO to receive the $10 per month discount for 5 years.
The credit kicks in within 30 days of porting the phone number over to Visible; customers of T-Mobile’s prepaid brands, including Metro by T-Mobile, are not eligible for the offer. Customers lose their $10 per month credit if they upgrade their service or take advantage of another promotional offer.
