ESPN will introduce a new streaming bundle later this year that pairs its ESPN Unlimited plan with NFL Plus for $40 per month, the company revealed at a press event in New York City this week.
The bundle will launch on September 3, timed to coincide with the start of the National Football League’s (NFL) regular season. The announcement comes about one week after ESPN confirmed it was acquiring NFL Media, which includes the NFL Plus streaming platform, NFL Network and NFL RedZone.
On its own, NFL Plus typically costs $15 per month, and offers access to NFL Network, NFL RedZone and locally-televised NFL games. The service also offers replays of all NFL games one day after they air on television, including out-of-market games that broadcast live through YouTube’s NFL Sunday Ticket.
ESPN Unlimed launched on Thursday at a price of $30 per month, and includes streaming versions of ESPN’s cable networks and ESPN Unlimited.
The bundle is one of two that ESPN is offering streamers as a way to stay on top of premium sports programming. The other package will include Fox One at a price of $40 per month and launch in early October. Fox One debuted on Thursday at a price of $20 per month, and includes Fox’s broadcast and cable networks.
