Fox News personality Geraldo Rivera says he is leaving the network’s roundtable discussion program “The Five.”

On Wednesday, Rivera said editorial differences and various conflicts were the reason behind his decision to leave the program, which is the highest-rated show during the weekdays on Fox News and across all cable news.

“It has been a rocky ride, but it has also been an exhilarating adventure that spanned quite a few years,” Rivera said in an interview with the Associated Press, noting that it was his choice to leave the show.

Rivera was one of the few progressive voices on the program, which includes four other commentators offering opinion and insight on various political matters of the day. The show’s other regular panelists include Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, Jeanine Pirro and Jesse Watters.

It was not immediately clear who will fill Rivera’s seat on The Five. He intends to stay with Fox News as a correspondent-at-large.
