Smart TV maker TCL has inked an agreement with Bloomberg Media to bring the free streaming channel Bloomberg TV Plus to TCL TV Plus on supported devices.

Bloomberg TV Plus offers live access to the same Bloomberg channel available on cable, satellite and the Bloomberg website and apps, with charts, headlines and other graphics presented around a main video screen.

In addition to Bloomberg TV Plus, TCL is also adding Bloomberg Originals (formerly Bloomberg TicToc and Bloomberg Quicktake) to its free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) platform, unlocking Bloomberg’s original documentaries and shows like “The Deal” and “The Circuit” to TCL TV Plus streamers.

“We are pleased to offer best in class original business content from the experts at Bloomberg. Whether its coverage of the biggest news stories of the day, or deeper dives into topical stories that matter, our viewers can rely on Bloomberg for critical conversations and thoughtful analysis,” Catherine Zhang, the Vice President of Content Service and Partnership at TCL, said in a statement.

“The launch of Bloomberg’s premium video content on TCL [TV] Plus is an expansion of our broader global partnership with TCL,” said Travis Winkler, the General Manager of Video and Audio at Bloomberg media. “We’re excited to bring [Bloomberg TV Plus] and Bloomberg Originals to an even larger audience in the North American market through TCL [TV] Plus’s premier streaming service.”

The agreement with Bloomberg will also bring the financial news channel’s ad-supported video on demand titles later this spring.

The pact with Bloomberg is the latest deal to bring more content to TCL TV Plus: Over the past several months, TCL has forged similar distribution agreements to onboard content streams from Fox News Media (Fox Weather), Hearst Television and the National Football League. The service also offers content from the E. W. Scripps Company, NBC Universal, Sony, Lionsgate, A+E Networks, FilmRise, Fremantle and others.

TCL TV Plus is available as a free streaming channel on TCL-branded Android TV (Google TV) devices in the United States. The company has plans to bring TCL TV Plus to other smart TVs and devices in the future, including those powered by Roku OS.
