
Toyota will include SiriusXM’s hybrid satellite-streaming radio platform, called SiriusXM 360L, in its newer-model vehicles moving forward.
The automaker will debut the new radios in its 2026 model RAV 4 sports utility vehicles (SUVs), marking the first time that Toyota drivers will have access to the new radio platform as an integrated offering in vehicles, the companies said on Monday.
SiriusXM with 360L will be included in Toyota’s next-generation Audio Multimedia system, launching first in the RAV4 before expanding to additional Toyota models.
The upgraded entertainment platform merges live satellite radio with on-demand streaming content, offering drivers and passengers more channels, personalization tools, and easier ways to discover new programming.
SiriusXM has promoted its connected audio platform over the past few years as the company seeks to evolve its offerings into a more-personalized one that is attractive to radio subscribers and advertisers alike.
SiriusXM’s traditional satellite radio platform works similar to linear broadcast and cable television — everyone listens to the same thing on any given channel at the same time, and that includes advertising where present. SiriusXM 360L evolves things by allowing the company to offer personalized music streams — including channels with advertising — with commercial spots delivered over wireless broadband connections.
Toyota vehicles have offered broadband as an in-car option for several years, with the company’s connected entertainment systems working on AT&T’s network for things like Apple Music and Amazon Music, which are available as a native integration with a separate subscription. Music streamers can also use both apps through their phones with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without fees.
It isn’t clear if SiriusXM 360L’s broadband connectivity will include separate fees, or if Toyota or SiriusXM will cover the cost of a wireless connection. A SiriusXM radio subscription typically starts at $10 per month, before royalty fees and taxes are factored in. Toyota drivers receive a 3-month subscription of SiriusXM with eligible new or used car purchases.

SiriusXM’s Chief Automotive and Broadcast Technology Officer Sean Gibbons said the new integration will bring Toyota drivers “even more live and on-demand content from SiriusXM with enhanced personalization and discovery.”
