NewsNation will launch a new weekend program hosted by author and columnist Batya Ungar-Sargon next month, the network announced Tuesday.
The one-hour program, “Batya,” will debut Saturday, September 20 at 4 p.m. Eastern Time. The show will review the week’s top stories and feature commentary, analysis, and panel discussions with political figures, media personalities, and others. An encore presentation will air later the same day at 11 p.m.
Ungar-Sargon will also provide commentary and analysis on NewsNation’s daytime and prime-time shows.
“Batya is a brilliant voice who understands the current sentiment of the country,” Michael Corn, NewsNation’s President of Programming and Specials, said in a statement. “NewsNation will always be a platform for all Americans, and we are eager to bring Ms. Ungar-Sargon’s unique perspective to our viewers and extend our live news coverage on the weekends.”
With the addition of the program, NewsNation is reshuffling its weekend lineup. “NewsNation Now with Anna Kooiman” will air from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, followed by “NewsNation Now with Keleigh Beeson” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. “NewsNation Prime,” anchored by Natasha Zouves, will be extended by one hour to run from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
