Sinclair, Inc. has renewed its nationally-syndicated current events program “Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson” for an 11th season, the broadcaster announced this week.

The half-hour show, hosted by veteran journalist Sharyl Attkisson, will continue to focus on accountability and investigative reporting. Attkisson has won five Emmy Awards and a Murrow Award for investigative journalism.

The season premiere will feature reporting from El Salvador, where President Nayib Bukele deployed the military to patrol city streets that were once considered dangerous. Attkisson and her team will explore whether that type of crime-reduction strategy could be applied in the United States. The episode will also mark the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which killed nearly 1,400 people and caused more than $100 billion in damage in 2005. The program will examine whether government response to disasters has improved since the storm.

“For more than a decade, Full Measure has stood out as one of television’s most consistent sources of accountability journalism,” Scott Livingston, Sinclair’s Senior Vice President of News, said in a statement. “Each week, Sharyl and her team challenge assumptions, uncover the stories others overlook and provide viewers with trusted context and perspective. The program’s continued growth and loyal audience are a testament to the enduring value of fearless, fact-driven reporting.”

Attkisson said it was “incredibly rewarding to continue to have the support of Sinclair and the Full Measure team for our groundbreaking program going into year 11 when so many other organizations are cutting back on original impactful reporting.”

“Beginning a second decade of this program, with a growing audience, is almost unheard of in today’s broadcast news,” added executive producer Batt Humphreys. “It’s a testament to the unique role Full Measure plays in bringing meaningful investigative journalism to viewers.”

Citing Nielsen data, Sinclair said the audience for Full Measure has increased substantially since its debuted a decade ago. The program’s total audience share has risen 49 percent, with household share up 32 percent, the ratings data showed. Among adults between the ages of 25 and 54, Full Measure is up 53 percent. On a year-over basis, Full Measure has boosted its total audience by 9 percent since last year; in 2024, the show was recognized with 10 Telly Awards for news coverage.

“Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson” airs Sunday mornings across Sinclair’s owned and operated television stations and is also syndicated to affiliates in other markets.
