Technology firm Xperi has appointed Matt Milne to serve as its President of TiVo Ads, adding to his responsibilities that already include serving as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer.
The appointment comes as Xperi works to deepen its relationships with measurement and ad technology partners. Recent deals with Comscore and Titan Ads are intended to bolster the reach, reliability and performance of Xperi’s connected TV (CTV) and advertising solution TiVo One as brands and marketers seek new ways to engage viewers across linear and CTV environments.
“The rapidly growing global footprint of our TiVo One cross-screen advertising platform has created strong interest from advertisers and industry partners, and Matt is the perfect leader to align and accelerate our advertising sales efforts, which represent a significant growth opportunity for our company,” Jon Kirchner, the Chief Executive Officer of Xperi, said in a prepared statement. “Matt’s sales leadership, execution and vision have been instrumental in setting the stage for the TiVo Ads ecosystem that we now have an opportunity to monetize, and I am confident that he and the TiVo Ads team will succeed in expanding our global advertising platform, driving exciting revenue growth opportunities.”
Milne said TiVo Ads is positioned to benefit from increased demand for targeted digital entertainment advertising driven by shifts in viewing habits and the continued rise of streaming services.
“With our unique unduplicated reach, cross-platform value proposition, deep and rich data capabilities and rapidly expanding worldwide user base, TiVo Ads is well positioned to capitalize on the growth of digital entertainment advertising,” Milne said. “I’m excited to work directly with our growing and talented team of advertising experts and technologists to offer advertisers the ability to reach their target customers wherever they consume their favorite entertainment content.”
TiVo Ads offers inventory across pay TV and CTV platforms, and includes a metadata product that enhances program identification for ad targeting and measurement. Xperi is also expanding into automotive environments through targeted advertising trials on the DTS AutoStage platform, which powers more than 13 million vehicles from global carmakers.
Earlier this month, Xperi said the TiVo One platform grew to 4.8 million users during the company’s third financial quarter (Q3) of the year.
