The addition of the new channels comes just a few days after DirecTV promoted its platform through a novel out-of-home campaign tied to the recent Emmy Awards.

Following the prime-time Emmy Awards on CBS, DirecTV began projecting its universal search bar and key art from programmers on the walls of buildings across the greater Los Angeles area, including structures in Hollywood, West Hollywood, Santa Monica and downtown Los Angeles.

The out-of-home campaign was created in partnership with TBWA\Chiat\Day LA, and also featured a takeover of Comcast’s movie review portal Rotten Tomatoes.
