Streaming service Zattoo has partnered with a national Internet provider in Switzerland to offer a new bundle that combines broadband and pay television service there.
The new product, called Zattoo Home, offers 1 Gigabit-per-second (Gbps) fiber-powered broadband service powered by Init 7 along with over 300 streaming TV channels like SRF 1, RTL, ProSieben and Vox HD for CHF 63 per month (around $71.90 per month).
The television service includes a streaming box called Fritz! that unlocks features like ad-skipping, a seven-day replay option and the ability to stream on four devices at once. Streamers don’t have to use Fritz! to get many of the features available through the Zattoo app.
“We have been one of the most well-known TV providers in Switzerland for a long time. Since our foundation over 15 years ago, we have been shaping the future of television in Switzerland with our TV streaming service,” said Constanze Gilles, the general manager of direct-to-consumer services at Zattoo. “Zattoo is no longer just a solution for your mobile device — it is a fully comprehensive alternative for watching TV on your big screen in the living room.”
Gilles said the combined package will “unlock enormous potential for our service.”
