Nexstar Media Group and Sinclair, Inc. have renewed their distribution agreement that covers the broadcast of four multicast networks owned by Sinclair on local TV stations owned or operated by Nexstar.

The pact will bring Comet, Charge!, TBD and The Nest to more than 15 million TV households across the country, in key markets like Cleveland, Indianapolis, Denver, New Orleans, Kansas City and Sacramento.

Charge! is currently offered on WJZY (46.3) in Charlotte, WJW (Channel 8.4) in Cleveland, WNOL (Channel 38.4) in New Orleans and WXIN (Channel 59.4) in Indianapolis. The network offers repeats of police procedurals and dramas like “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “CSI: New York.” Charge! will also add affiliates in Denver (KWGN, Channel 2.3) and Springfield (KRBK, Channel 49.3).

Comet offers sci-fi shows like “The X-Files” and “Grimm,” and can be seen on WNOL (Channel 38.3) in New Orleans, WTTV (Channel 3) in Indianapolis, WJW (Channel 8.3) in Cleveland and KGBT (Channel 4.3) in the Lower Rio Grande region of Texas.

TBD is Sinclair’s comedy-centric multicast network, with shows like “Whose Line is it Anyway?” “Key & Peele” and “Saturday Night Live,” and is available on WDAF (Channel 4.4) in Kansas City and KTXL (Channel 40.4) in Sacramento.

The Nest airs “comfort food” reality and lifestyle shows, and is now offered on WGN-TV (Channel 9.5) in Chicago.

“The expanded distribution agreement with Nexstar marks a significant milestone in our efforts to bring Sinclair’s multicast networks to even more viewers nationwide,” Lee Schlazer, the Senior Vice President of Distribution at Sinclair, said in a statement. “With the addition of key markets like Chicago and continued renewals across critical stations, we are strengthening our commitment to delivering high-quality, diverse programming that resonates with audiences of all ages. This is just the beginning as we continue to grow the reach of Comet, Charge!, TBD, and The Nest.”

The agreement is the latest involving Sinclair and a local TV broadcaster covering the distribution of the company’s multicast networks. Over the last two years, Sinclair has renewed or entered into new agreements with Paramount Global’s CBS, the Walt Disney Company’s ABC and Fox Corporation to distribute some or all of its multicast networks on their owned-and-operated stations in key TV markets.
