Satellite and streaming radio service SiriusXM has pulled the plug on a channel that was dedicated to mental health and wellness.

The channel, Mental Health Radio, originally launched in December 2022 as an extension of SiriusXM’s Doctor Radio, and was part of a partnership with NYU Langone Health. The channel was available on SiriusXM’s streaming radio app and on some hardware radios powered by SiriusXM’s 360L connected audio platform.

No reason was given for the channel’s disappearance earlier this month, but SiriusXM and NYU Langone Health appear to still have a partnership for programs aired on Doctor Radio. On the streaming platform, Mental Health Radio has been replaced by “Unwell On Air,” an uncensored talk channel curated by podcaster Alex Cooper.

The removal of Mental Health Radio was part of a reorganization of channels and content on SiriusXM’s satellite and streaming radio platforms. In addition to the removal of that channel, SiriusXM has moved the Infinity Sports Network to Channel 375 on satellite and streaming radio, and its acoustic pop channel Coffee House from Channel 3 to Channel 17.
