Premium audio provider SiriusXM has appointed Anjali Sud to its board of directors.

Sud is the CEO of Fox Corporation’s free streaming television service Tubi, where she has worked since 2023. She joins SiriusXM’s board at a time when the company is returning to its roots as a satellite radio-focused service, one that also has a companion streaming app and a handful of other business ventures.

“Anjali has an incredible track record on the cutting edge of media and technology, and has a deep understanding for what it takes to succeed today,” Jennifer Witz, the CEO of SiriusXM, said in a statement. “She will be an asset to the Board and to the company as a whole as we look to maintain our strong standing and to position ourselves for future growth. I look forward to working with her.”

Before joining Tubi two years ago, Sud worked as the CEO of streaming video platform Vimeo. She has also held media development and finance roles at other companies like Amazon and Time Warner.

“As a fan of SiriusXM and a big believer in the power of audio and delivering entertainment to audiences where they want it, I am looking forward to working with Jennifer, the board, and the entire management team as the company looks to leverage its strengths and focus its efforts in this next chapter of the business,” Sud said. “SiriusXM has played an important role in shaping the audio landscape, and I’m excited to bring my insights to the board as SiriusXM positions itself to continue to deliver long-term financial success.”

As Sud takes a seat on SiriusXM’s board, the company’s vice chairman, James E. Meyer, has resigned. In a statement, Meyer said he was proud of the company’s accomplishments during his two-decade run, including its “unparalleled audio entertainment the company delivers to listeners across North America and the value it brings to its stockholders.”

In January, SiriusXM reported $8.7 billion in income, nearly a quarter of which was attributed to subscription sales from its satellite radio service. The company also owns Pandora, a number of podcast production businesses and an advertising sales unit.
