Technology services provider Bango has struck a partnership with Belgium telecommunications firm Telenet to launch a new subscription management platform.

The marketplace is powered by Bango’s Digital Vending Machine (DVM) product — the same software-based solution that powers subscription management platforms for Verizon and Optus — and allows Telenet’s television, broadband and wireless customers to sign up for subscription-based services like Netflix and Disney Plus, as well as custom-built bundles that will launch over time.

The subscription management platform launched some time ago, but was initially available only to Telenet’s pay TV subscribers. Now, all Telenet customers can access the portal — even those who call Telenet’s phone-based customer support or visit a brick-and-mortar retail store.

“Our goal is to provide customers with the most seamless and engaging entertainment subscription experiences,” Ivor Micallef, the Director of Product Engagement at Telenet Group, said in a statement on Tuesday. “In a highly competitive industry, the Bango DVM sets us apart, allowing us to deliver a sophisticated variety of bundled entertainment subscription offers. Customers can easily activate, deactivate, and access the best deals, putting them in complete control of their subscriptions via a single Telenet bill.”

Streaming-based service offerings are not unique to Telenet or other Bango clients — a number of wireless providers and cable TV operators give their customers free streaming perks as part of their service commitments.

But Bango’s DVM makes offering those perks, and others, a seamless experience by providing the technology that allows wireless phone providers and other telecoms to quickly integrate their customer management and billing platforms into Bango’s software, where integrations with leading streaming video services and other subscription-based products like NordPass and Uber Eats are available.

“We’re excited to be partners with Telenet in bringing their visionary entertainment marketplace to life. With so many subscription services enabled through the Bango DVM including leading streaming services such as Netflix and Disney Plus, telcos can quickly bring to market sophisticated bundling offers,” Anil Malhotra, the Chief Marketing Officer at Bango, said on Tuesday. “elcos like Telenet group are leading the way by providing a simple, centralized platform that enhances the customer experience and makes access to and management of subscription services effortless.”
