Streaming television provider DirecTV is now offering an exclusive curated collection of shows and movies from Lionsgate.
The content is available through a new channel called Lionsgate Collection, which launched this week on free streaming platform MyFree DirecTV.
Subscribers of DirecTV’s satellite and streaming services can also watch the Lionsgate Collection through the DirecTV app and on Internet-connected set-top boxes and devices like the Gemini Air.
Lionsgate Collection offers rebroadcasts of hit shows like “Nurse Jackie,” “Weeds,” “The Conners,” “The Royals,” Rookie Blue” and “Nashville,” along with a handful of Hollywood blockbusters like “American Psycho,” “La La Land,” “The Expendables” and films from the Saw franchise.
“Lionsgate is a powerhouse of bold storytelling and unforgettable entertainment, and this is a unique opportunity to work together on an exclusive curated channel that highlights the best titles in their vast collection,” Amy Leifer, the Chief Advertising Sales Officer at DirecTV, said in a statement when Lionsgate Collection was first announced. “Together we have an extraordinary opportunity to connect brands with premium storytelling and passionate viewers in powerful new ways.”
Lionsgate Collection is available on DirecTV and MyFree DirecTV on Channel 4200 or by looking for “Lionsgate Collection” in the alphabetical program guide.
The launch of Lionsgate Collection builds on a partnership between the movie studio and DirecTV that also includes distribution of Lionsgate-programmed free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels, including HerSphere, 50 Cent Action and MovieSphere.
