  • UEFA Champions League joins other soccer events from Fox Sports, ESPN Plus, Scripps Sports and Prime Video.
  • DIRECTV for Business offers live sports and other content to bars, restaurants, hotels and other public venues.

DIRECTV for Business is expanding the amount of live soccer games offered on its platform with the addition of UEFA Champions League matches from CBS Sports, the company announced this week.

The integration of UEFA Champions League events allows DIRECTV for Business to distribute an even larger number of live soccer matches to bars, restaurants, hotels and other public venues. DIRECTV for Business uses the same pay television platform as its residential service, but is geared toward public establishments.

DIRECTV for Business already offers a number of live soccer events from Apple’s MLS Season Pass, serving as the exclusive distributor of those games to public venues. It also offers soccer games and related programming from Fox Sports, Amazon’s Prime Video, Scripps Sports and ESPN Plus.

DIRECTV enables sports fans to find a local bar, restaurant or other establishment with DIRECTV for Business via a unique web portal called the Sports Bar Finder. The platform allows sports fans to determine which sports package a venue offers via DIRECTV for Business, including Friday Night Baseball from Apple TV Plus, Thursday Night Football from Prime Video and linear sports channels like NFL Network, ACC Network, ESPN, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), Big 10 Network, ACC Network and regional sports channels in most parts of the country.
