  • NBC Universal and Roku launched a dedicated Roku hub for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, centralizing live, on-demand and highlight coverage.
  • The experience adds reminders, mobile alerts and personalized viewing, building on engagement from the Paris 2024 Olympics hub.
  • More than 2,500 hours of Olympic programming will be available via Peacock, alongside NBC broadcast and cable coverage.

NBC Universal and Roku have launched a dedicated 2026 NBC Winter Olympics Experience, a connected TV hub designed that centralizes the network’s coverage of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games for Roku users in the United States.

The experience, now available on Roku smart TVs and streaming devices, serves as a primary destination for NBC’s Winter Olympics programming, which runs from February 6 to February 22.

The hub provides access to live events including the Opening Ceremony, along with highlights, clips and additional on-demand content. For the first time, Roku viewers will also be able to set reminders and receive mobile notifications when Olympic events begin.

The initiative builds on a similar experience created for NBC Universal’s coverage of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, which the companies said drew strong viewer engagement. Joe Franzetta, the Head of Sports at Roku Media, said the new destination is intended to make it easier for viewers to find and follow Olympic coverage across multiple sports in one place.

NBC said its Winter Olympics Games coverage will largely mirror that of the Summer Olympic Games from Paris, given that the city and Milan share the same time zone.

That plan includes marquee events airing live during the day on NBC, full live-streaming of the Games on Peacock and an enhanced presentation called “Primetime in Milan,” which will package major events, athletes and storylines for evening audiences.

Coverage will also extend across NBC Universal’s cable networks and digital platforms, with the return of features such as “Gold Zone” and multi-view on Peacock.

More than 2,500 hours of Olympic programming will be available through the Roku experience to users who subscribe to Peacock. Interactive features include a real-time Medal Count presented by Delta, as well as personalized viewing options that allow users to follow specific sports or events. Roku is also incorporating Olympic-themed elements into Roku City, its branded interface environment, to coincide with the Games.

The experience is presented by a group of major advertisers including American Honda, Carnival Cruise Line, Delta, Xfinity and Visa.

The Opening Ceremony will originate from San Siro Stadium in Milan on Friday, Feb. 6, airing live and in prime-time on NBC and Peacock. NBC Universal is presenting its 20th Olympic Games and its 13th consecutive overall. The company holds U.S. media rights across all platforms for every Olympic Games through 2036, including Milan Cortina in 2026 and Los Angeles in 2028.
