Apple has made the first season of its hit psychological thriller “Severance” free to stream through Roku’s free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) platform, The Roku Channel.

Frow now until January 19, all nine episodes of the first season of Severance are free to access, no Apple TV Plus subscription required. The Roku Channel is built in to most modern Roku streaming devices and smart TVs by default, and is also available as a free downloadable app on Amazon Fire TV and Android TV (Google TV) devices. Apple phone and tablet users can also stream The Roku Channel content through the Roku app.

The freebie is part of a promotion ahead of the second series of Severance, which lands on Apple TV Plus next Friday. Apple TV Plus costs $10 per month or $100 per year, and is accessible on Roku devices through the Apple TV Plus app.

Severance is produced by Red Hour Productions and Fifth Season, and is typically exclusive to Apple TV Plus.
